The leader of a political party is also its chief messenger. That makes political communication skills a key requirement of the job and a must-have for whoever becomes the next Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

To help leadership voters make up their minds about which candidate would make the best communicator, I will be compiling a list of links to interviews, op-eds, and podcasts the candidates have completed since the Prime Minister’s resignation news conference kicked off this race.

Read, watch, or listen to gain insight into each candidate’s ability to engage with others and make the case for big L liberalism across Canada.

Other Content: To learn more about the rules of the race, visit my leadership “Rules Explainer”. To learn more about their policy positions, visit my “Head Wonk” leadership policy cheat sheet.

Note: the candidates are listed in alphabetical order, with engagements listed from most to least recent.
